Thought for the week on Parsha Lech Lecha

B'H

After Avram returns from Egypt with Sari his wife, his shepherds and the the shepherds of Lot his nephew cannot make peace with each other and there is cause for quarrelling among them. It appears that the strife is about the pasturing of flocks.  Avram is a peaceful person and does not enjoy disagreements between his family and their retainers, so literally he tells Lot that they should separate as brothers. 'If you go to the left I will go to the right, and if you go right I will go to the left.
What does this tell us about how we should solve differences between family and brothers?
It is in the third section of the parsha this week. Parsuk tet.

Shabbat Shalom!
